Minkie Pie Custom Figure

alright, this is my first custom pony figure, so bear with me. I decided to do one after I found out the ponies can survive being baked! that means I didn't have to fiddle with re-rooting hair and stuff! anyway, about the figure...

the paint job isn't PERFECT because of my shaking. the mane is not so bad, considering I had to make it long without it breaking. the tail actually has a metal wire inside. painting the mane was hard because I had to make sure not to get it on the body. the plastic of the original figure took acrylic paint like a charm, I was surprised. all the same, there are some speckles of blue on the body. :< the entire thing was sealed first with a matte spray finish, and then I painted matte varnish on the body, and gloss varnish on the mane, tail, and eye.

about the picture... the top two were take without the camera flash. my house is VERY dark, and we only have this one lamp that has a yellowish light. T_T I kept these two because they weren't blurry. the bottom pictures show more what the colors look like, but for one, they're kinda blurry, and for two, my camera flash makes them look a little off. but seriously, it took me like twenty tries to get my old camera to focus on her, so I was just like, screw it. she looks better in person.

I plan to eventually make the other bakers... IF I CAN FIND TWO EARTH FILLIES. grrr! my walmart doesn't have them, and they're expensive as hell everywhere I look online! I'm actually going to take my main pinkie figure and remake her hair out of clay, and repaint her cutie mark. I also have to touch up her eyes because they got scratched. this is all in the future, I'm not doing it all at once.
