for those underagies who have parents not wanting to give out your address, i have a solution. you CAN write a fake address, because the only time the post office check the return address is if it needs to be returned to sender. so you can make up a name THAT SOUNDS REAL of course. put down a city, state, and zipcode that is relatively close to you so that it doesn't look like you're coming from texas if you're really from iowa. (in case they question, which they won't, say you're visiting and the return address is where you actually live, they won't look into it.) and just make up a street number and name. for good measure, you could even make up an apartment number or something. in the US it's perfectly legal to send things anonymously. other countries, not sure. here is one of the sites i found the answer:

it's probably easier to do the fake address thing. seriously, if it looks legit, they don't even pay attention to it. i'm saying this because i know there are youngins who WANT to participate in the tribute project, but either parents or themselves don't feel comfortable giving their address to a stranger. so, if you do it this way, i can't possible spend my life savings trying to find you to stab you. boy oh boy, bad break for me eh? gawrsh... XD

AND MAKE SURE you copy my address EXACT, otherwise the package will be lost completely in the endless void of that thing called the postal service. yea yea yea! make sure to private message me to get my address. i don't want some anti-reitannite getting hold of it and coming to stab me in the stomach like i know they want to. mkay, so have fun! i'm looking forward to this project if it happens! (by the way, even if you're not good at sewing, go ahead and give it a go if you want. i won't care either way. this is YOUR creation, i'm just putting them together.)

thank for such an amazing box, it might get me on TV. so cross your fingers that i get on! i could have a chance to win $10,000! that would be great since i'm down $3,000 from christmas... i... um... REALLY went overboard when buying people presents.... anyway, that would keep me from panicking about rent and food. one of the symptoms of bipolar disorder is over spending... i am not doing well.

ALSO, i had a great idea! i want to make something that is a sort of... a tribute to all reitannites who wish to participate. this is just something i'm throwing out there, let me know if it sparkles with you. if i know people are gonna fer surzies gonna participate, we can make this happen!

my idea is that you guys can make a square, fabric patch, with whatever the hell you want, doesn't matter what color or what size, and then i would sew them together as a sort of quilt as a symbol of unity. plus, i'd put it on my wall, so whenever i feel like i can't do anything right, i can look over to it for a pick me up.

i'd like them to be signed with your name OR screen name. actually, preferably your SN so i can be all like "OMG i know that person!" i just think this would be SO FUCKIN FUN and it's something that can be part of all of us.

PWF will continue when my period ends. i hurt. but i got a dolly that i'm gonna turn into marceline. and i got two stuffed bunnies, one named simon and the other named neddly. simon is gonna be my new sleepy buddy. my pug was my sleepy but now simon will be my sleepy. i can't sleep without stuffed animals cause they make me feel not so alone cause i was all alone as a kid and now i don't have to be all alone. i have so many and they all have names. i carried simon around the store tonight until i bought him. my meds wore off and i felt alone, so i needed him. i also got a dolly.
