is pokemon omega ruby and alpha sapphire, you can search for pokemon with the DexNav. now, I've read a lot about chaining with the DexNav and increasing the chances of encountering a shiny pokemon, but I've also read that this theory has been disproven. I want to try for a shiny absol, but should I really spend my time on this? I know a lot of people claim to have found shinies while DexNav chaining in ORAS, but they might've just been lucky. I mean, I personally have never encountered a shiny anywhere except the friend safari in X/Y and chain fishing. I've tried shiny breeding MANY times using the masuda method, and not once have I gotten a shiny. I also can't get the hang of poke radar chaining, so that rules that one out.

again, should I be wasting my time on DexNav? or would I have a better chance breeding for one?

Meh, I personally don't like shinies. Yeah, they're pretty, but they're pretty much the same as normal Pokémon aside from a palette swap. :iconfoxsighplz:

I mean, If you wanna get a particular shiny, you can try all you want, but I personally don't see much point in it. Just do what you feel, I guess.

Also, I have no clue whatsoever as to what DexNav or DexNav Chaining is, so I can't help you there...:iconsweatplz:
