vocal auditions (updated again)

many of you offered to lend me your voices for narrations, but there was such a great number, I think I have to hold auditions. so, for "ride with me," I need some voices. in your audition, it is recommended that you record multiple takes (which can be in the same file because I can edit it), that way I can choose the best one. here's a video showing what I expect: www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOB5pZ…

now, here's who I need-

Sig (male, and he speaks in a low, gruff, mean tone):

"Shut up for once, Nyleve!"[pronounced 'nil-EH-vay']

"Really? I couldn't tell,"


Kitten (female, speaks in a low, disrespectful tone):

"Sig, leave her alone."
"She's just excited."

　

Tabby (female, speaks in a shy, timid tone. think Fluttershy):

"Tabby is what people call me,"

"it's short for Tabitha."

"I want to die."

conductor (male, use whatever tone you see fit):

"All humans hand over your passes,"

"Pass," [he's demanding a ride ticket]

"She sure looks human," [skeptical and rude]

[speaking over an intercom. don't worry, you don't need to add effects or anything]

"Please keep your hands and feet inside the car at all times,"

"No video or audio recording devices are permitted, no food or drink, and no weapons. Finally, we have one human riding today, so why don't we all give her a fabulous farewell!"

"Alrighty then,"

"remember that you have one last chance to turn back once at the top. The cars will halt for about thirty seconds, giving you time to press the little button on either side of you. We will then bring you slowly back down, and that person may exit the coaster before we send it back up. And lastly, have a marvelous ride!"

that's all I need. remember, I'd prefer auditions recorded on a decent quality mic. to send me the files, you can do a couple things. one, send it to littlekarabear@netscape.net. or, you can upload it to Media Fire and send me the link to download it. the easiest way is to post it as a video on youtube, because then I can get it straight from there. do what ever is easiest for you.

also, if your audition doesn't get picked, it's not because it was bad, it's because the winner portrayed the character impeccably. plus, there are so little characters I need voices for, and I can't cast all of you. and who knows, maybe you'll get the part next time!

there's not really a deadline because I need Sempai's voice for Iapmes, so I dunno when the narration will actually be completed. so take your time, and make sure to let me know when your file is done and I can access it. have fun!

got some great auditions so far! remember, if I tell you your audition has been accepted, it means that one, I successfully received the file, and two, you are a possible choice. it does not mean you got the part. so don't be shy, and don't think you're not good enough to try out, because you never know. in 2009, I didn't think my photo would be good enough to be entered into the del mar fair, but it won a first place! that same year, I didn't think my "READ" poster would be good enough to get printed and put in the library, but I won SECOND place on that one! so you never know until you try, and always trust that Reitanna WILL NOT judge you! you are you, you do what you do, and you rock it. don't be nervous about what i'll think, just get out there and show, not just me, but everyone else what you got!

reminder that auditions are still very open! I encourage more people to try out! PLEASE?! also, if you send the file via email, make sure the format is an audio file (i.e, wav, mp3, wma, flac, ogg, aac, mmf, amr, m4a, m4r, mp2, or wavpack). I WILL NOT ACCEPT AUP FILES! they can't be converted to audio, that I know of, and I've tried.

remember that the auditions are still open because I haven't recorded my parts or the narration. I have Sempai's recording though, so once I finally get to it, that won't be a problem. I'm impressed with the auditions I have so far, I truly am! (not gonna name names because that wouldn't be fair XD). but you never know when an even better one may come along! so please don't be shy, give it a try!
