well, I love all animals, especially rodents, but I wanted to pay tribute to my ratties. I miss rem and ezio so much.

Rats are so smart and sweet, literally one of the best pets, I can teach them half the tricks a dog could learn and then some, I have yet to get a rat but I've also been having trouble clicking with anything besides dogs. (aside from my bunny Celia who used to come over and lick my arm and a few chickens I had who've been really sweet) I'm really hopeful to find a rat that I can click with someday but so far most rodents seem too interested with their surroundings and are really all over the place, is there a tip on how to calm them down or get their attention you can give? Cause I've seen rats be extremely cuddly and sweet and I really want to bond with my rat when I get one, but I've only had full experience with mice who've tried exploring thousands of times and kept giving me heart attacks (I don't know how similar rats and mice are in personality) and had a rat that immediately tried to climb down my shirt when I held it at a pet store (which was actually pretty funny/cute but yeah), so yeah I'm a little nervous and don't want to mess up.
